In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 31, Yuji faces off against a weakened Mahito, realizing his resolve amid battle.

…Mahito, desperate, transforms into a massive form using his remaining cursed energy. Yuji counters with a powerful “Divergent Fist,” tearing through Mahito’s monstrous body.

Meanwhile, Nanami pursues Mahito through the underground canals, determined to apprehend him.

Later, Yuji and Nanami recuperate in a facility where Yuji grapples with the consequences of taking lives in battle. Nanami encourages Yuji, affirming his role as a Jujutsu Sorcerer and reminding him of his responsibility to others.

In parallel scenes, students discuss bullying surveys, reflecting on the ongoing challenges within their school. Principal Sotomura addresses issues of conflict, notably confronting Shota Ito over his actions toward Junpei.

In another scene, Yuji navigates a corridor and encounters Gojo and Nanami, setting the stage for further developments in their ongoing battles against curses and personal dilemmas.

Nanami calls Takuma Ino to intercept the weekend Mahito as it escapes through the sewers. Nanami sees Yuji bloody and unconscious.
Yuji slowly goes unconscious while looking at Nanami. Meanwhile, Mahito tries to recover in the sewer alone.
Mahito realizes the strength of Sukuna's power and gets frustrated as he wants to defeat Yuji Itadori.
Mahito plans on defeating Yuji multiple times. Meanwhile, the scene transfers to a village during nighttime.
Yuji and Nanami are inside a facility. Nanami thanks him for saving his life.
Yuji tells Nanami that he killed people today and that he is confused because he wants people to die naturally.
Nanami advises Yuji not to die because others will rely on him in the future.
Nanami acknowledges Yuji as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Cut to the scene in a classroom, students are given a bullying survey form.
In another room, principal Sotomura is lecturing the student Shota Ito for giving Junpei the scar on his head.
Sotomura continues reprimanding Shota Ito, whose face is filled with bandages.
Yuji Itadori walks into a hall where Gojo and Nanami are talking.
