JJK Chapter 21 – Young Fish and Reverse Punishment, Part 3

Spoiler Summary [Click to show or hide]:
Mahito talks with Junpei, a high school boy who followed him inside a vast sewer. Mahito reveals a…

…huge, deformed body, showing how large a human can become. Junpei’s name is revealed as Mahito shows him another experiment demonstrating how small a human can be.

Junpei suggests humans should strive for indifference, but Mahito argues it sounds more like revenge.

Mahito explains that humans don’t have hearts but souls, which he can alter because he understands their composition.

He tells Junpei that emotions stem from the soul and that life has no inherent value, encouraging Junpei to do whatever he wants and not limit himself to indifference. Mahito supports everything Junpei represents.

Meanwhile, Yuji and Nanami continue their investigation, planning to gather more details.

Nanami instructs Yuji to cooperate with Kiyotaka Ijichi in investigating Junpei Yoshino. Nanami already knows Mahito’s hideout, but he doesn’t want to bring Yuji there as it could be dangerous, so he prefers to go alone.

Yuji and Ijichi drive to track Junpei, with Ijichi emphasizing the need to rescue him quickly if attacked by the cursed spirit they brought with them.

Ijichi explains the matching of sorcerer and cursed spirit grade levels.

In the sewer, Nanami defeats transmogrified humans who have turned cursed spirits. Mahito appears, expecting Gojo but seeing Nanami instead, and mocks him for being weak.
