Spoiler Summary [Click to show or hide]:
Yuta Okkotsu sits beside his defeated enemy, Ryu Ishigori. They talk, and Ishigori sits up,…
…continuing the conversation.
Okkotsu stands and shows Ishigori Rule 10 of the game, asking for his points. Ishigori and Uro comply, and Okkotsu smiles as he gains their points.
Meanwhile, a man walks alone down an empty street.
The scene shifts to an office where an editor reads some drawings, likely manga. The man, born in France to Japanese parents, sits at the manga reader’s table.
He sips coffee as the other editor critiques his work, pointing out inaccuracies, especially in the drawing of a finger.
The man, a Frenchman, a Culling Game player named Charles Bernard, bends the other man’s finger in frustration.
Bernard walks out, meeting Kinji Hakari outside the manga office. They talk inside a Ferris wheel, with Bernard expressing his frustration over Tokyo’s dwindling number of manga creators.
He pleads with Hakari to give him a reason to fight. Hakari bluntly says he wouldn’t read Bernard’s manga, making Bernard furious.
